About the Founder
Nancy D. Collins is one who has truly received beauty for ashes. Her message, ministry, and mission in life has grown out of a challenging past, but has yielded a creative flow that allows her to speak "mountains" of life to others through many gifts. A dynamic motivational speaker and workshop presenter, she believes experience is a good teacher, but not the best teacher. So she freely and candidly shares her challenges so others may triumph without wavering.
Collins founded Transforming Life Ministries, Inc . in 2003, and wrote a memoir in 2004 entitled Talkin' Out the House- A Voice of Hope and Healing , highlighting a history of abandonment issues, sexual and emotional abuse, and self-defeating behaviors. Her book has been instrumental in escorting many individuals through healing and helping them to understand God's unconditional love for them, while helping others to gain an awareness of the impact of emotional abuse.
Nancy serves as lead facilitator of Just Talkin' Life , a workshop that teaches powerful concepts relevant to emotional healing. These concepts have been developed and taken from the pages of Nancy 's personal life, and have been very effective in ministering to victims, perpetrators, and spectators. She now hosts her own weekly internet radio program at www.wtlcradio.com , which also bears the name Just Talkin' Life . Nancy is also a staff writer for the Capital City Courier , an African American newspaper in Springfield , Illinois . Collins serves as the editor of the Royal Dais, an internet based newsletter that also has an international audience. The e-newsletter highlights individual accomplishments of various women, and their contributions to society.
Ms. Collins is married to Michael E. Collins, and has three children.
